The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Department of Natural Resources, in conjunction with the Egerton University Students Association invites staff members and student fraternity to a tree planting event on Saturday 31 July 2021.
Two Egerton University students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Joseph Nguthiru and Charles Kinyua, have been invited to present their award winning project at the World Engineering Day on March 4th this year.
The Egerton University banner was flown high during the just concluded World Engineering Day Hackathon after a project by two of its students scooped third place globally. The virtual event was held on 4 March 2022. The final year students from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology presented their project dubbed Hyapak that had been shortlisted alongside nine other projects from across the world that had made it to the finals.
Egerton University students’ startup dubbed Hyapak, of duo Joseph Nguthiru and Charles Rugendo, on Thursday made headlines once again by winning the third edition of the Total Energies Startupper of the Year Challenge.
