Twenty-five needy students from Egerton University have benefited from bursaries from a group of Alumni who joined Egerton University in 1990. The Alumni group known as EU 90 Alma Mater Charity Fund have incorporated bursaries and mentorship activities in their programmes as a way of giving back to their former University.
The Egerton University Alumni Association (EUAA), at it's meeting held on 2nd October 2021 at Milele Resort in Nakuru, appointed Mr. Moses Kiogora to be the Association's Brand Ambassador. Mr. Kiogora graduated from Egerton University with a Diploma in Animal Health in December 1989.

On Saturday, it was pomp and colour when the Alumni Association flowed into Egerton University for their annual sports day to enjoy playing and competing various games.

The Egerton University Alumni Association held a handing-over ceremony for its officials at the Milele Resort in Nakuru City on January 21st, 2023. The event was attended by a large number of alumni members, as well as dignitaries from the university and the local community.

It was a day of excitement and celebration on Friday, February 10, 2023, as Egerton University held its 46th Graduation ceremony at the main campus in Njoro, Nakuru City County. The ceremony marked the first physical graduation since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Egerton University swimming pool located at the Njoro Campus is set for reopening after getting a facelift by the Egerton University Alumni Association at a cost of about 150,000 Kenya Shillings.
The University community will soon be able to use the half-Olympic size swimming pool with sky-blue clear water again. The standard-sized swimming pool is 25ft by 17ft long and its shallow end is 3.5 ft while the deep end is 13.2 ft deep.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi led the launch of Egerton University's 'Adopt a Forest' initiative, which is part of the Presidential initiative to grow a 15 billion tree cover by 2030. He commended the university for its innovative approach and participated in a tree planting exercise at Egerton University in Njoro, Nakuru County.
Egerton University, established in 1939, held a grand Alumni gathering at the United Kenya Club Friday evening. The event brought together former students from various graduating classes, with the oldest representation hailing from the class of 1969.The atmosphere was filled with excitement and nostalgia as the attendees drawn from all over the world reunited to celebrate their alma mater's rich history and the achievements of its graduates.
