Following an intensive Peer Counselors training workshop coordinated by the Dean of Students office, 100 peer counsellors and 4 administrative staff members from key service Departments of the Dean of Students and Accommodation departments were finally inaugurated to begin their work.

Egerton University on 12 August 2021 marked the International Youth Day, whose theme was "Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health".

The Egerton University Dean of Students Office, under the leadership of Dr Japhet Muthamia, has lauded a program to sensitize students about Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus (HIV) on campus. The program aims to reduce HIV risk among male students at the university and promote HIV prevention and response initiatives.

Egerton University student Cynthia Wanini has been elected as the first president of the Egerton University Student Association (EUSA) in the university's history. Cynthia, who is also the Chair of the student council, has been an active participant in various activities and initiatives that aim to empower women in leadership and mentorship programs.

Mr. Philip Nyayo, the Director of Academic Affairs at Egerton University and a third-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), has made it his mission to bridge the gap between students and the administration.

On the 28th of May each year, people worldwide gather to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day. The day is dedicated to combating period stigma, ensuring access to menstrual products, and promoting awareness and education about menstruation.It is an opportunity to challenge the prevailing beliefs and taboos surrounding periods that persist in our society.
